My Dad Totally Rocks

I think almost every girl, at some point in her life, thinks her dad is the smartest and the coolest person alive. Usually, this opinion fades somewhere around the teenage years. But folks, I've just got to tell you, my dad is still the coolest and smartest person ever!

"Why?" you ask. Because he spent a couple hours on the phone with me yesterday helping me troubleshoot and fix an unbelievably difficult wireless networking issue. I like to pride myself on having pretty good computer sense, but I'll tell you: I had worked through everything I could think of and nothing had fixed the problem. Yet when I called him, I realized that there were so many other factors to consider and places to check. I learned so much just working through it with him.

So, Dad, you are the best ever! Thank you, thank you, thank you! I am a smarter, wiser, more computer-savvy person because of you!

I think he totally rocks, too. I've not had any wireless issues since he ironed them out all the way from Michigan.

Also, Jana, just because I "never" get to say this, you have a misspelled word in your post. If I were nice, I'd tell you what it is, but who said I was nice? (I just had to say it because you are such a perfectionist!)

Gee, Becky, it was kind of you to point out my misspelled word. (Actually, I'm glad you did. I normally proof several times, but I didn't yesterday because the Blogger system wasn't liking me.) "Savvy" is one of those words that joins the ranks of "Fiji" and "overwhelmed"--in other words, they are words that look correct to me when they are in fact misspelled.

Savvy is a frustrating word, and I personally prefer your spelling. The reason I think it is frustrating is because the double "v" looks like a double-u or "w." Anyhow, I just like to better your spelling, because I know how atrocious it is. :) And, I do thank you for not pointing out my misspellings because I don't proof my blogs as obsessively as you do. :)

Also, since I did not mention it previously, MY dad is the bomb, too!!! Heck, I've learned how to change car batteries, light a pilot light, and I'm sure there are other things too that I don't remember. It's always challenging to have someone teach you something over the phone, especially if they were here it would only take a couple minutes to fix. Anyway, I'm watching GG and want to focus. :)

That's true. I was really impressed when your dad helped us fix the furnace. (I say "us," but really, I mean "you." I just like to feel like I was part of that process since I pretty much had to bend my thumb past the breaking point holding down that stupid little whatchamacallit.)
