Yes, folks, you heard it here. This girl pulled her first all-nighter since undergrad (with, of course, the exception of chaperoning youth lock-ins at NCCC, which is totally different). And I feel...ok. Surprisingly. Though when I walk, I feel a little wobbly. And when I sit still for too long, I start nodding off.
But the paper is done. I am not coherent enough to judge its quality, but it is finished, and right now that's all I care about. That, and getting summer correspondence done, and perhaps sleeping sometime soon.
So now the main goal for the evening is to have a voice in rehearsal. Should be interesting.... :)

Fantastic! Congratulations! Does this mean you're responding to emails again?????
Quite possibly.... I'll still probably be working all weekend on work stuff, though. Except for Easter church stuff. Ah, life. :)
I want to meet the stranger living in my house. :)
You mean the man who lives in my closet? Just knock on the door, silly. :)
So how did it go? Not meeting the stranger in the closet; the solo!!!
I'm told it sounded good. I find that I have no capacity, on a personal level, to be able to judge myself singing. You know? I was nervous during the second service, but I'm told my nervousness was not visible. Hopefully people were telling the truth. :)
The really good thing was that we changed the solo so that it was less of a Jana-standing-in-front-of-the-choir-doing-a-special and more of an interactive worship experience, with me doing a solo for the first half of it and one of our worship leaders leading the second verse and then both of us leading out on mics overtop the choir for the rest, which was (a) better for people in the congregation to interract with and (b) less scary for me. Win-win.
