I Am About To Become A "Rennie"

Yes, my friends, that is correct. I am less than 24 hours away from my first Renaissance Faire experience. Not only will I be spending the day at opening day of the Silver Leaf festival, but I will be going in costume, thanks to Laura and Mary and Jeanine. Don't worry: I'll be taking a camera along to record the event.

But before all that, I've got a Broadway Night to attend. Broadway Night is my favorite of all my Michigan vacation traditions and perhaps the most long-lasting to date (we started the "official" gatherings, I believe, in either 1997 or 1998, though we were getting together unofficially before then). Twice a year, we gather at Chris' parents' house--we, the music nerds who have kept in touch in the years following high school, in part due to our passion for singing showtunes together--to spend hour after hour gathered around a piano, singing song after song after song as beautifully as we can. It is truly one of the highlights of my year.

So, that's all for me! I'll be out of pocket this weekend, which means I'll probably not be able to check email or blog until Monday. I'll see ye lads and lasses on ye uther syde of the Renaissance Faire!

Sigh.... I am not as much a part of the digital age as I would like. Meaning: I don't have a digital camera, and I haven't finished my roll of film yet, so I'm planning to finish it off quickly and develop the pics when I get back into town.

eek! "develop" - such a bad word when it comes to pics.
;-)

in regards to your comment on my site, i have started doing videos for the Fusion youth group and somehow or another Gyle heard about it and we met about the bctulsa.com site. Unfortunetly, the site is having some problems with it right now so it hasnt been uploaded yet. But hopefully we can work the kinks out soon and start getting the weekly message up there, along with some worship.

( sorry, that was kind of long )

Looking forward to your pics!
