Is that a weird thing to post about? I mean, I know girls aren't supposed to talk about things like deodorant because we're supposed to make boys believe that we are not capable of smelling anything other than "pretty," but it is a fact that girls wear (and sometimes need) deodorant and that not all deodorants are created equal. So whether it's weird or gross or improper, I'm still going to mention it.
And in doing so, I will say that Dove deodorant does not hold up to running the entire distance of the main terminal at Chicago's O'Hare airport. Thankfully, it's just a sample that I got somewhere, so I'm not stuck with it for the long haul. Does anyone else have any positive or negative deodorant stories to make me feel less weird about posting on the subject?
In other news, I was thrilled that my suitcase arrived with me, but I was less than thrilled that my other bag did not, but thankfully, unlike at Christmas, I will not have to deal with Otto. I know for a fact that the bag is in Chicago and should be loaded onto a plane about now to fly here tonight, and I also know that it will be delivered to me tomorrow. So, while it will be a minor inconvenience to be without some of my stuff, it's by no means the crisis that it could have been if all my luggage had been lost again.
So, the outlook for tonight is fairly positive. Not that I really want to be in Oklahoma right now, but I am resigned to make the best of it nonetheless.

Whoa.....you mean girls can smell something other than pretty?
Back up there sister. Next, you'll be telling me that girls go pooh as well.
I'll have none of that.
:-)
And I was SO hoping for another "Otto" story!
It seems like luggage tends to get lost quite a bit between Oklahoma and Michigan.
Told you you should just drive. Though no guarantees on the aroma if your air conditioning fails...
:)
It's not so much Oklahoma or Michigan; it's Chicago. But to their credit this time, there was barely time for me to get off the plane and run to my connecting gate (which they held specially for me). I'm impressed that the suitcase made it, so I wasn't heartbroken that the duffel bag didn't. At least I have it now.
Of course girls always smell pretty, Marshall. I was just kidding before. Really. Just keep telling yourself that. :)
Girls do not smell pretty after 3 days without showering. This much I know. Living in a 3rd world country will teach you such things, because, well, there´s no water most of the time. Don´t worry...I do apply deoderant daily to try to keep the smell at bay. :) When I arrived to Quito they couldn´t find one of my bags...trust me when I say I understand your dilemma. Luckily they found it, though! It had poptarts and other valuable cargo!!
